Martin County moves to protect 1,700 acres of Bar-B Ranch from development

Martin County and the state of Florida have partnered to permanently preserve more than 1,700 acres of Bar-B Ranch through a conservation easement, protecting the land from future development. The $17 million project, funded through the Florida Forever Program and local support, helps safeguard wildlife habitat, water quality and a key corridor connecting major conservation areas.
