Martin County moves forward with 16 potential land conservation acquisitions

Martin County commissioners unanimously voted to advance 16 properties for potential conservation through the Martin County Forever Land Acquisition Tax program, funded by a voter-approved half-cent sales tax. The properties span key ecological zones and include high-priority lands such as Whitworth Farms, which would help protect wildlife corridors, waterways and sensitive habitats countywide.
