Heiress is buying 8 acres in Florida to preserve it from development
Louise Yeiser, a Pittsburgh resident and heir to the Fleischmann yeast family fortune, is purchasing nearly 8 acres of land in Martin County and donating the parcels to the county for conservation and recreation. Yeiser said she was motivated by concerns over the rapid loss of open space in Florida and hopes her donation will inspire others to support land preservation efforts in Martin County.
